Seems like I spent a lot of my youth watching men with big yellow machines build Missouri's highways. So enamored was I with the work that I planned to be a civil engineer -- until in high school I realized that I didn't like math! So I chose to become a journalist. Now I help engineers tell their stories, hopefully in terms that laymen understand. Most of my time is spent with two exciting projects -- the Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program and the environmental studies that are creating a future vision for a reconstructed Interstate 70 that includes dedicated truck lanes.
